My Dogs are feed mainly a diet of raw chicken, raw chicken's carcass either minced very fine or the whole chicken carcass is given to the Pomeranian to chew and enjoy. A very small amount of good quality dry food is added to the diet for variety and balance.

Dog breeders and owners seem to forget that dogs did not eat food out of packets in the wild. A lot of Dog breeders and dog owners have not experienced life in the country.

The dog in the wild, made a kill and ate this meat raw, what food the dog could not eat, he would bury and this was then eaten a few days later. The first part of the kill to eaten is usually the stomach and the stomach contents.

The habit of burying food is still engrained in domestic dogs. We also still see behaviour where mothers with young puppies, often will bring up there food for the puppies to eat.
